Bright Bronze Luster Tex (available at DMI)
Gold Mist Over Glaze (available at DMI)
Smoke Aging Wash (available at DMI)

Acrylic Paints: 2-3 shades of green, burnt umber
Palette Knife
Sea Sponge
Flat Brush
Texturizing Tool (ie: Graining Comb; Mastic Spreader)
Pencil or chalk

Directions:

1. Base paint placemat with Black Bonding Primer.

2. Measure a 2 inch border all around with the pencil & tape inside.

3. Apply Antique Bronze Luster Tex (from Verdigris Kit) and Bright Bronze Luster Tex  to outside border & texturize as desired.  Try using sponges, steel wool, mastic spreader, etc.  Allow to dry.

4. Sketch or transfer palm tree with chalk or pencil.

5. Divide Texture Paste into several piles.  Mix two piles with different green acrylics.  Mix third pile with burnt umber to create a brownish color.

6. Using palette knife, paint in palm fronds trunk & base with tinted Texture Paste.  Let dry.

7. Use Smoke Aging Wash to age the Luster Tex border.  REMEMBER that Aging Wash dries darker then it appears when wet.  Let dry.

8. Use sea sponge to loosely apply first Dark Verdigris, then Light Verdigris (from Verdigris Kit) & soften.

9. Over Stroke the palm tree with Gold Mist Over Glaze to accent.

10. Let Dry.
